Does your school, club, or youth group have an interest in bringing interactive lessons about food, nutrition, and agriculture to young people in your community? Fresh Approach is partnering with the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association to offer exciting programs that teach about these concepts and use agriculture and farmers’ market as hands-on laboratories for learning concepts ranging from economics to history and science.
Our staff coordinates:
• Farmers’ market tours
• Farmer presentations
• Field trips to working farms
• Presentations about local food systems, plant science, nutrition, and food culture
We’re interested in hearing from Bay Area agencies (in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Francisco, San Joaquin, Solano, and Santa Clara) such as schools, extra-curricular programs, and community-based organizations who serve students age 5 and up to discuss opportunities for partnership.
